CADO, Orange NSW

Set within a leafy, central context, the house is defined by a calm architectural language that balances solidity with softness. A restrained palette of brick, timber and pale stone establishes a sense of permanence, while gentle curves and arched openings soften the masonry form.

Natural light is central to the design. Deep window reveals, clerestories and carefully framed openings allow sunlight to wash across textured brick and tiled surfaces throughout the day.

Privacy is achieved through careful orientation and recessed openings that frame views of garden and sky. Curved walls and layered thresholds guide movement through the home, while integrated timber joinery and sculpted stone surfaces extend the architectural language into the interior, creating a warm, grounded and quietly refined living environment.
